The Power of the Subconscious Mind

Your subconscious mind is responsible for running the show. It directs your body (breathing, heartbeat, etc.) and plays a huge role in the amount of success you experience in life. Conscious vs. Subconscious Mind

Generally speaking, your conscious mind is the part of your brain which is responsible for things that are happening at the given moment. You are using this part of your mind to read the words on this page. Your conscious mind is responsible for all of your short-term memory and thinking patterns.

For example, if you dial a phone number, you are using your conscious mind to make out the numbers. Afterwards, you temporarily forget about the number and store it in your thought bank. Your conscious mind can be compared to the tip of an iceberg- the other 90% is still sitting below the surface.

Your subconscious mind is responsible for different things. It is responsible for things like intuition (that gut feeling you get when something is about to go wrong), creativity, storing memories, and running your body. Imagine how much energy you would expend if you had to worry about producing your own heartbeat, circulating your own blood, and making sure your food digests. You wouldn’t be able to- this is what your subconscious mind is for.

The Subconscious Mind Cannot Process Negatives

It interprets everything you do, say, or think as a positive. So, if you think thoughts like, “I don’t want to get lost” or “I don’t want to get sick”, you are subconsciously convincing your mind that you do want those things. The power of the subconscious is so precise that it gives you exactly what you want- in this case, getting lost or sick.

Giving Your Mind Direction

In order to take charge and direct your subconscious mind, you first need to open up the communication channels between both parts of your mind. Once you quiet your mind, you are able to speak directly to your subconscious mind and give it directions. For example, you can begin stating beliefs to yourself which include, “I am savvy with money” or “I am comfortable making a lot of money”. If you say these things (with conviction) while your subconscious mind is open, they will be more likely to manifest in the physical world.

Remember, if you subconscious mind doesn’t agree with what you coconscious mind has to say then you are working against your own success. Your thought patterns have to be aligned on all levels for your dreams to manifest.
